Tintiyakus piaroa ( Derka, Svitok & Fedor, 2016) View in CoL comb. nov.
Figures 7–8 View FIGURE 7 View FIGURE 8
Hydrolutos piaroa Derka et al., 2016: 468 View Cited Treatment ; Cigliano et al., 2019.
Diagnosis. Cercus with anterior and posterior halves robust, approximately same length; anterior half straight; posterior half conical, curved ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 A–B). Subgenital plate with posterior margin with V-shaped emargination ( Fig. 7B View FIGURE 7 ). Stylus slightly inward curved, slender, with almost same length as subgenital plate ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 A–B).
Comments: This species is transferred from Hydrolutus to Tintiyakus due to characters of the new genus described herein: Tergite 10 and subgenital plate medially emarginated at posterior margin and cercus conspicuously curved towards pleural margin. T. piaroa comb. nov. can be readily differentiated from the other two species by the subgenital plate bearing a V-shaped emargination, which is a thin slit in T. sexangulus sp. nov. and U-shaped in T. trewicki sp. nov. With this new combination, the genus Hydrolutus remains endemic to the discontinuous biogeographical province called Pantepui, em Venezuelan flat-topped sandstone table mountains-tepuis ( Derka et al., 2016).
