Plant perennial, caespitose ( Fig.1 View FIGURE 1 and 2 A); caudex sturdy, deep brown, covered with relics of stipules and petioles (dead petioles on stock sickle-shaped); stems lateral; radical leaves digitate, 5-foliate (Fig. 2 B), tri dentate at apex, teeth triangular; obovate, truncate in shape; leaflets surface densely hairy, silvery-sericeous on both side (Fig. 2 C and D); 11–13 mm long, 9.5–11.5 mm wide, composed of one terminal (8.7–10 mm long, 6.2–8 mm wide), two lateral (7–8 mm long, 3.8–5 mm wide) and two lower leaflets (5.8–6 mm long, 2.8–3.5 mm wide); petioles of radical leaves 3–3.5 cm long, 2 mm wide, densely sericeous, with straight to flexuous and sub-appressed hairs, grooved and winged at base; stipule of radical leaves 12.5–15mm long, 7.5 mm wide, auricles lanceolate, 2.5–3 mm long, thick, orange-red color; dorsally glabrous or with few hairs at the top (Fig. 2 E), ventrally densely villous (Fig. 2 F), cauline leaves sessile, entire, stipule of cauline leaf triangular-lanceolate, densely sericeous-villous; flowering stem 2.5–2.8 cm long, ascending; flower solitary, 1–2 in number; 12–18 mm in diameter; calyx lanceolate, 3–4 mm wide, 5.5–6 mm long; epicalyx 1.8–2 mm wide, 3–3.5 mm long, linear-lanceolate, villous on both sides (Fig. 2 G – H); petals yellow with brown basal part, 4.2–4.6 mm long, 3–3.2 mm wide, rotundate, claw 1.2 mm long, 2.3 mm wide (Fig. 2 I); style sub–terminal (Fig. 2 J), 0.37–0.4 mm long, conical, thick, with papilla at the; stigma dilated; stamens ± 20 in two rows of 10, the outer with longer filament, anther ovate; achene glabrous, with 5–6 ribs, 1–1.5 mm wide, 2–2.85 mm long (Fig. 2 K).
