Diagnosis. The second segment of cercus cylindrical, longer and distinctly slender than the first; metatibia without swimming plates; metatarsus about three times as long as apical spurs of metatibia; dorsal margin of metatibia with sparse denticles.
Etymology. The genus name is taken from the Latin ‘late’ and ‘dactylus’, ‘late’ means wide, ‘dactylus’ is a suffix commonly used in the genus names of tridactylids.
