Present status: Propicimex limai (Pinto, 1927) ; new combination by Usinger (1966: 306)

Holotype female (n° 2940, slide n° 872); Brazil: Pernambuco, Tapera; D. Bento Pickel col., [no collection date]. Note: The locality and collector of this specimen correspond to the respective data indicated by Pinto (1927a) for the holotype of the species. However, both this author and Usinger (1966) mentioned that the number of the holotype is 266, and this one is numbered 2940. It might be ultimately demonstrated that this is not the holotype, but rather a non-type, mistakenly labelled and/or catalogued.
