Classification on the specimen: “P. Th. Labrus laevis ” ( MCUC ZOO.0000001) and “P. Th. Labrus ” ( MCUC ZOO.0000022 and MCUC ZOO.0000046).
Common names on the specimen (Portuguese/Tupi): “Pescadinha” (MCUC ZOO.0000001)/ None.
Comments: See Comments of Cynoscion acoupa . This species was undescribed at the time Veloso prepared it. Cynoscion microlepidotus occurs in the western Atlantic from Venezuela to Paraná ( Brazil) ( Menezes & Figueiredo 1980).
