Lasiochalcidia pubescens (Klug, 1934) View in CoL
Chalcis pubescens KLUg, 1834 : 4, PLATE 37, FIg. 11. ORIgINAL DESCRIpTION. EgYpT: FAjUN. Lasiochalcidia pubescens (KLUg): BOUčEk 1956: 245 [UNDER? Lasiochalcidia cinticornis ]; STEFFAN 1966: 403, 407 [ AS A SENIOR SYNONYm OF L. igiliensis (MASI, 1916)].
Material examined. Type material. A pinned ♂, here designated as lectotype and labelled ' pubescens Kl. * Aegypt Fajun Out Ehr.' [manuscript, green label] / 'Aegypten Ehrenberg' [printed] / '13425' / ' Chalcis ' [manuscript] / 'type' [red label] / GBIF-ChalclSD ID: ChalD0669' (in BMN). Other material. IRAN: Fars, Larestan, loc. 4, 09.iv.2112, (1 ♂) (in CIRAD: GDEL0353), same data, 7.v.2012 (1 ♂) (in CIRAD: GDEL0354).
Distribution. Because of the false synonymy of L. igiliensis with L. pubescens the present databases are not reliable (Noyes 2017). Outside of Iran specimens examined by GD came from Egypt and the UAE. Lasiochalcidia pubescens had already been reported from an orange orchard in Kerman province, south-eastern Iran (Rajabi et al. 2011), and it was also collected via a Malaise trap in mixed lime and mango orchard (Tavakoli Roodi et al. 2016).
Hosts. Unknown. Probably ant lions, as for all species of Lasiochalcidia , but the hosts quoted by Steffan (1966) for L. igiliensis cannot be taken for those of L. pubescens .
