Material examined. Type material. Euchalcis fertoni . Holotype, a pinned ♂, labelled 'chalcidien Neochalcis d'un nid d'Odynerus gallicus Sauss ronce Corse' [manuscript, Kieffer's handwriting] / 'Holotype ♂ Euchalcis fertoni det. Z. Bouček, 1989 = Neochalcis fertoni [manuscript, Bouček's handwriting] / Holotype [BMNH format] / 'in coll. Kieffer as Neochalcis' (in MNHN). Euchalcis barbara . Holotype ♀ (in MNHN). Other material. IRAN: Fars, Larestan, loc. 4, 06.vi.2112, (1 ♀) (in CIRAD: GDEL0373).

Distribution. Neochalcis fertoni is widely distributed in Europe and the Mediterranean Basin, reaching even England (Askew 1992).

Hosts. The type was reared from a Vespidae (subfamily Eumeninae) (Kieffer 1899) and the other hosts reported belong to Megachilidae (Bouček 1952) .
