Paraholcostethus Belousova, 2007
Type speсies Peribalus breviceps Horváth, 1897 , by original designation.
Diagnosis. The genus differs from the other members of this generic complex by the following characters: conjunctival processes with a great extension of the sclerotized area, at the apices, absence of sclerotized median plates of aedeagus, theca with larger lateral processes. Paramere narrow, slightly curved; hypophysis flat, with rounded apex and with rounded lobe at base. Spermatheca with small spherical bulb bearing up to 3 processes and with long sclerotized duct narrowed toward base.
Remarks. The diagnosis of the genus has been modified slightly in order to accommodate the second species described herein. The diagnosis of Belousova (2007) was somewhat too restrictive in that the conjunctival processes of the aedeagus are sclerotized at the apices but are not bifurcate in both species.
