Pseudisobrachium intentum HNS sp. nov. (Figs. 43-47)
Description.- Male. Body length 4.44 mm; LFW 3.12 mm. Color: head and thorax black, except the pronotal disc with borders somewhat rufous; mandible light castaneous, clypeus rufous castaneous; antenna rufous castaneous, scape and pedicel light castaneous; legs light castaneous, metasoma dark castaneous; wings subhyaline, veins dark castaneous. Pubescence conspicuous and abundant.
Head (Fig. 43): mandible with 5 teeth (Fig. 44). Clypeus with trapezoidal median lobe, apical margin truncate. First four antennal segments in a ratio of 18:4:10:9, segment III 1.78 X longer than thick, segment XI 2.14 X; flagellar pubescence subappressed, short, with some erect setae. Frons coriaceous, punctures small, shallow and abundant. WH 1.01 X LH, WF 0.65 X WH, WF 1.36 X HE; ocelli small, DAO 0.13 X WF; ocellar triangle with frontal angle acute, OOL 1.27 X WOT; VOL about 0.82 X HE. Vertex straight, with rounded corners. Temples few divergent anteriorly.
Mesosoma: pronotum and mesonotum coriaceous, punctures more conspicuous and abundant than the punctures on frons; notauli narrow, weakly impressed, occupying less than half of anterior part of mesoscutum; parapsidal furrows complete and weakly impressed. Propodeal disc 1.02 X as long as wide, 1.83 X as long as high, propodeal disc with transverse striae, median carina almost complete, declivity with weaker striae, lateral of propodeum coriaceous and shining, with weak striae. Mesopleuron with polished callus. Fore wings with discoidal veins spectral, not interstitial with median vein.
Genitalia (Figs. 45-47): genitalia elongate, paramere with ventral arm 2.0 X wider than dorsal arm; vannus with 5 grooves; aedeagus elliptical, apex elongate, emarginate, median portion little dilated, base very elongate, its apex lower than the apex of paramere.
Material examined.- HOLOTYPE: male, BRAZIL, Espírito Santo, Cariacica, Reserva Biologica de Duas Bocas , 22. X.1996, sweeping, E.. H. Freitas col. ( UFES). PARATYPES: BRAZIL, Espírito Santo, 56 males, Cariacica, Reserva Biologica de Duas Bocas , 04. X. 1996- 25.III.1997, sweeping, C.O. Azevedo & H. S. Sá col. ( UFES) .
Variations. - Pronotum darker.
Discussion.-The elongate aedeagus is peculiar to this species. It is similar to P. albitinctus Evans HNS , 1966, but the latter is longer, with frons polished, with conspicuous punctures, notauli strongly impressed.
Etymology.-The specific epithet refers the elongate aedeagus.
Distribution.-Brazil ( Espírito Santo).
