Specimens examined: CHINA: Hainan Province: 1 male, Ledong County (18°44'N, 109°10'E), 16. IV. 1985, light trap, Le-yi Zheng leg.; 1 female, same data as above, 6. I. 1981, leg. Zhen-tian Chen; 1 female, same data as above, 2. I. 1981.
Diagnosis: Recognized by the light brown dorsum, the red mandibular and maxillary plates and abdomen, the white-yellow metepisternum and coxae, the constricted hemelytra ( Figs. 5, 6 View FIGURES 1 – 7 ), the short, decumbent, shining sericeous setae and declined simple setae on vertex, pronotum and hemelytra, the gradually tapering, triangular spiniform frons ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 8 – 11 ), the length of antennal segment I subequal to 4/5 of width of head, the complete sulcus reaching the posterior margin on vertex, the small red-brown hump on the posterior margin of pronotum ( Figs. 5, 6 View FIGURES 1 – 7 ), the weakly spinelike projection on the scutellum; vesica strongly sclerotized, twisted, apex without large membrane, nearly apex with a small, triangular projection, secondary gonopore well developed ( Fig. 20 View FIGURES 20 – 23 ); left paramere boat-shaped, hypophysis weakly sinuate, not distinctly elongate, sensory lobe rounded and lamellate ( Fig. 21 View FIGURES 20 – 23 ); right paramere leaflike, lamellate, hypophysis relatively sharp ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 20 – 23 ); phallotheca weakly curved ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 20 – 23 ); can be separated from other species of the genus by the dorsal coloration, the form of spiniform frons, and the male genitalia.
