Basionym of: Asperula rotundifolia (L.) L. (1771).

Lectotype (Natali & Jeanmonod in Jeanmonod, Compl. Prodr. Fl. Corse, Rubiaceae: 53. 2000): Herb. Burser XIX: 13 (UPS).

Current name: Galium rotundifolium L. (Rubiaceae).

Note: See extensive discussion by Ehrendorfer (in Österr. Bot. Zeitschr. 99: 625–631. 1952) who, however, wrongly chose (because original material was in existence) a neotype for this name. He was followed in this by Fici (in Fl. Medit. 2: 102. 1992).
