Atractylis cancellata Linnaeus View in CoL , Species Plantarum 2: 830. 1753.

"Habitat in Hispaniae, Siciliae, Cretae agris." RCN: 6001.

Lectotype (Petit in Turland in Bull. Nat. Hist. Mus. London, Bot. 25: 150, f. 22. 1995): Herb. Clifford: 395, Atractylis 1 (BM-000646943) .

Current name: Atractylis cancellata L. subsp. cancellata View in CoL View at ENA ( Asteraceae ).

Note: Alavi (in Jafri & El Gadi, Fl. Libya 107: 212. 1983) indicated 971.4 (LINN) as the type, and Petit (in Bull. Mus. Natl. Hist. Nat., B, Adansonia , 9: 425. 1987) also treated it as a syntype. However, this specimen was received by Linnaeus from Allioni only in 1757, and is not original material for the name.
