European distribution: Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine ( WPC 2024).

Notes: Neobisium sylvaticum lives in leaf litter and soil, but it is also known to be able to climb bushes or trees when looking for shelter or food ( KrajčovičovÁ & ChristophoryovÁ 2014; ChristophoryovÁ et al. 2017b). This ability is confirmed by older ( ČervenÁ et al. 2020b), but especially by new findings in the Malaise traps in Bratislava . Neobisium sylvaticum occurs at eight sampling sites in Bratislava , four of which have been published and four of which are new.
