The distributional range of the species extends from the south of European Russia and Ukraine in the west to Tuva Republic and Mongolia in the east, widely distributed in Central Asia, and known from Iran (Kerzhner & Josifov 1999). Within China it is known from Sichuan Province (as C. laminatus Li & Liu, 2006). First record for Xinjiang Province.
