Leaves sparsely hairy beneath. Involucral bracts 1 -5-2 mm wide, smooth, tapering into a spine 1 mm, the outer nearly as long as or slightlylonger than the middle; inner bracts not more than 1| times as long as the middle bracts. Apical prominence of achene sessile. N.E. Spain, S. France.
