Stems 30-80 cm, broadly winged, densely leafy. Basal and lower cauline leaves shortly petiolate, linear-lanceolate, acute, entire to slightly dentate, arachnoid- or crispate-puberulent beneath. Capitula cylindrical, in compact terminal corymbs. Involucral bracts without apical appendages, villous. Subalpine meadows. • E. Carpathians. Rm Rs (W).
