Like 1 but not more than 30 cm, more pruinose and glaucous; leaves 3-4 x c. 0-75 cm, more or less crowded at apex of stem, flattened or sulcate on the adaxial surface, rounded on the abaxial surface, subobtuse, with a short mucro; capitula usually 2-3. Naturalized in Açores (Terceird). [Az.] (South Africa.)
