Densely caespitose, with a slender stock. Flowering stems 5-10 cm, densely leafy, usually almost up to the capitulum. Leaves 8-12 xc. 2 mm, widest just below the apex. Involucral bracts ovate, coriaceous, obtusely serrate, usually green. Calyxteeth villous. • S. C. France (near le Mont-Dore).
