Leaves densely hispid, the basal lyrate; cauline leaves 1 - to 2(-3)- pinnatisect, with narrowly lanceolate or linear segments. Calyx-setae usually absent, sometimes 1-2. Corolla bluish-violet. 2/2= 16. • S. & S. C. Europe. Al Au Co Cz Ga He Hs Hu It Ju Lu Sa Si.

A very polymorphic species, with many variants intermediate between it and most other species of the group.
