Plant up to 40 cm. Stems branched from the base, with slender, yellow rigid hairs. Basal leaves up to 17x2 cm, denticulate to pinnatisect. Involucre usually with numerous yellow or greenish eglandular hairs, sometimes glabrous or nearly so. Achenes with a beak less than 1 mm, the marginal enfolded in and often retained by the inner bracts. 2« = 8. • Italy, Sicilia, Greece.
