Stem white-lanate, becoming brownish, glabrescent and sparsely glandular below; wings up to 8 mm wide, with a spine up to 10 mm. Leaves white, lanate; lobes with apical spine up to 12 mm. Involucral bracts 5-8 mm wide, with apical spine up to 10 mm. Karpathos. (Anatolia.)
