Notes: The specimens collected in Chirostoma jordani from Guanajuato and those from Río Tecolutla in Phalacrocorax brasilianus are conspecific and probably new to science. The specimens from Chuburná (Progreso) represent a distinct species (see Scholz et al. 2002; Ortega-Olivares et al. 2008).
