Current name: Bromus squarrosus L. View in CoL ( Poaceae ).

Note: Although Kerguélen (in Lejeunia, n.s., 75: 110. 1975) stated "Type: …LINN”, this is not accepted as a formal typification, for the reasons explained by Cafferty & al. (in Taxon 49: 240. 2000). Meikle’s choice (23 Apr 1985) narrowly pre-dates that of Smith (in Notes Roy Bot. Gard. Edinburgh 42: 500. Oct 1985), who designated the same collection as lectotype.
