16. Sorolopha stygiaula ( Meyrick, 1933)

Sorolopha stygiaula: Diakonoff, 1973: 97 , figs. 151, 153, 154, 158, 159 (3, Ƥ genit.).

Diagnosis. This species is similar to S. bruneiregalis Tuck & Robinson, 1994 in male genitalia, but can be separated from the latter by the following characters: the valva protruding slightly at costa close to base, bearing one thorn or a group of three thorns at costal 2/5 and a short thorn on ventral margin at base of the cucullus; the cucullus slender, not dilated apically. In S. bruneiregalis , the valva has a prominent and blunt costal angulation close to base, and possesses no thorns on the costa and ventral margin of the cucullus; and the cucullus is dilated apically. In our specimens, the valva has only one longer thorn at costal 2/5, different from that in the holotype from Java, Indonesia, which has a group of three thorns in this position.

Material examined. China: 2 3, Menglun (21°55' N, 101°13' E), Yunnan Province, 570 m, 13-VIII-2005, leg. Yingdang Ren; 13, Jiulian Mountain (24°38' N, 114°33' E), Jiangxi Province, 20-VII-2006, leg. Jiasheng Xu and Weichun Li.

Distribution. China (Jiangxi, Yunnan), Indonesia.

Food plant. Pandanus sp. ( Pandanaceae ) ( Diakonoff, 1973).

Remarks. This species is new to China.
