8. Sorolopha identaeolochloca View in CoL sp. n. ( Figs. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 4 , 7 View FIGURES 5 – 8 )

Types. Holotype: 3, Longling County (24°35' N, 98°41' E), Yunnan Province, 2300 m, 10-VIII-2005, leg. Yingdang Ren, genitalia slide no. YHL05152. Paratype: 13, Baoxing (30°22' N, 102°52' E), Sichuan Province, 1600 m, 3-VIII-2004, leg. Yingdang Ren.

Diagnosis. This new species is very similar to S. aeolochlora ( Meyrick, 1916) in male genitalia and in the hindwing possessing a dark hair pencil from middle of dorsum, but it can be distinguished by the socius lacking apical bristles, the valva with the neck longer than apex of cucullus, and the cucullus with a circular ventral prominence. In S. aeolochlora the socius bears dense apical bristles, the valva has a neck which is shorter than apex of the cucullus, and the cucullus has an almost rectangular-semioval ventral prominence. The two species also can be separated by the presence of long hairs on the lateral sides of the abdomen in S. aeolochlora . The new species also resembles S. karsholti in male genitalia, but can be separated easily from the latter by the abdomen without three pairs of short and dense hair pencils on lateral sides.

Description. Adult ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ). Head: Rough scaled, yellowish green. Antenna fuscous. Labial palpus porrect; basal segment white; median segment yellowish white basally, yellowish green medially, greenish fuscous apically; apical segment pointed, greenish fuscous.

Thorax: Green, with a black W-shaped marking medially, with smooth yellow scales apically. Legs yellowish fuscous, dusted with fuscous dots; fore leg fuscous, tarsus with yellowish fuscous rings; median tibia sparsely with smooth thornlike yellow scales; posterior tibia normal, not broadened, lacking hair pencils. Forewing length 8.0-9.0 mm. Upperside green suffused with pale fuscous, fascia fuscous; costa with nine pairs of strigulae from base to R4, striae from them green silvery; strigula one pale fuscous; strigula two pale fuscous, represented by two pairs of markings; strigulae three and four pale white suffused with green, striae from them extending backward to 1/3 length of dorsum, pale fuscous on cell; the distal five pairs white; stria from strigula five extending backward to mid length of dorsum, medially immerged into median fascia, furcated at base of M3 and CuA1, fuscous along outer edge of cell; stria from strigula six extending obliquely to tornus, white at 1/4 length of R5 and M1, a narrow branch from mid length of R2 extending to strigula seven, a broad branch on R3 and R4 extending to strigula eight; striae from strigulae seven, eight and nine confluent, extending to termen on M1, then extending backward to tornus; two white strigulae on termen between R5 and M1, M1 and M2 can be distinguished; subbasal fascia oblique and straight, reaching mid length of 1A+2A; median fascia with two parts, the proximal part reaching base of CuA2, broadened posteriorly, the distal part derived from the proximal part between R2 and R3, extending obliquely to dorsum before tornus, fuscous gradually to green from base of CuA1 to dorsum; terminal fascia small, rounded; a large and somewhat rounded spot set between R4 and CuA1; cilia pale green, fuscous at apex; underside fuscous except costal strigulae yellowish brown and white area overlapped by hindwing. Hindwing upperside fuscous except pale grey area overlapped by forewing, with a dark fuscous hair pencil from middle of dorsum; cilia pale fuscous, with a fuscous baseline, pale grey along dorsum; underside paler than forewing underside.

Abdomen: Male genitalia ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 5 – 8 ) with uncus obtuse. Socius slender, with sparse spines throughout. Gnathos very narrow. Valva slender, with a long neck; sacculus spindlelike, with two spine clusters medially; cucullus with a circular ventral prominence, broader than clavate apex and equal to its length. Aedeagus curved strongly at 2/3 length. Female genitalia unknown.

Distribution. China (Sichuan, Yunnan).
