Remark. Shtanchaeva & Subías (2012a) described A. obesus minimus . In the revision of Caucasian ptyctimous mites Niedbała (2015) compares this description with own description of Atropacarus (A.) obesus and states that both descriptions are identical. The finding of Shtanchaeva and Subías is regarded as a new location for S. (A.) obesus in Caucasus.
