Filaments with numerous trichomes (≥15). Trichomes cylindrical, attenuated or not, not constricted. Sheath inconspicuous. Cells isodiametric to slight cylindrical, 3,04–7,13 µm diam., 3,38–7,32 µm long, ratio l/w = 1,18. Apical cell conical, with calyptra. Cell content with little granules near cross-wall, blue-green. Without necridia.
Habitat:— Rock totally exposed to the sun; associated with Stigonema fremyi , Scytonema schmidtii and Hassallia aff. andreassenii .
