Gloeocapsopsis dvorakii (Novácek) Komárek et Anagnostidis ex Komárek (1993: 24) ( Fig. 8O–Q View FIGURE 8 ).

Basonym: Gloeocapsa dvorakii Novácek (1929: 3) .

Colonies sarcinoid to irregular or solitary cells, 8.5–98 µm wide. Sub-colonies with 3 or more cells. Sheath firm, thin, smooth or slightly granulated, non-lamellated or 1–2 lamellae, hyaline or orange, reddish to dark rusty red. Cells irregularly spherical, elongated to polygonal, 2.63–14.79 µm wide. Individual envelope firm, slightly lamellated. Cell content homogeneous or slight granulated, blue-green. Without nanocyte and cell in resting stage.

Habitat:— Rocks totally exposed to the sun and others covered by moss; associated with Stigonema minutum , Scytonema schmidtii , and Gloeocapsa novacekii . Soil; associated with Trichocoleus acutissimus and Stigonema minutum .
