Diagnosis: This species can be distinguished by the strongly projecting conical nodules in the apical half of the elytra and lateral elytral margins which appear strongly serrate.

Distribution: Central Mexico at elevations around 1,500 meters in the Sierra Madre Oriental.

Recorded distribution: A summary of the 9 specimens examined is MEXICO: HIDALGO, PUEBLA, SAN LUIS POTOSI, VERACRUZ .
