Gonatopus fyanensis Olmi 2003: 39 (new name).

Description of Female. Apterous; length 5.6–6.9 mm. Head testaceous; antenna brown, except segments 1–2 reddish; mesosoma black, with reddish nuances on metanotum; occasionally mesosoma brown, with distal extremity of propodeum testaceous-reddish; metasoma black or brown; legs reddish, with tarsi and stalks of femora blackish. Antenna clavate. Head excavated, shiny, smooth, unsculptured; frontal line complete; occipital carina incomplete, only present behind ocellar triangle; POL = 1.5; OL = 4; OOL = 16; greatest breadth of posterior ocelli longer than POL (3:1.5). Palpal formula 6/3. Pronotum crossed by strong transverse impression, shiny, smooth and unsculptured. Scutum alutaceous, with a median longitudinal carina, laterally with two pointed apophyses. Scutellum shiny, smooth, inclined. Metanotum transversely striate, hollow behind scutellum ( Plate 127B View PLATE 127 ). Metathorax + propodeum shiny, unsculptured, except posterior surface of propodeum, mesopleura and metapleura transversely striate (striae present also around propodeal spiracles). In specimen from Vietnam, Fyan, (in ELKU) disc of metathorax + propodeum with slight median longitudinal furrow. Meso-metapleural suture distinct and complete. Segment 1 of protarsus shorter than segment 4 (27: 33 in holotype). Protarsal segments of specimen from Vietnam, Fyan, (in ELKU) in following proportions: 26:5:9:32:47. Enlarged claw ( Plate 127D View PLATE 127 ) with one small subapical tooth and one row of ten peg-like hairs. Segment 5 of protarsus ( Plate 127D View PLATE 127 ) with inner side proximally not serrated, with two rows of 14 lamellae; distal apex with at least 20 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/0/1.

Material examined. Type: holotype ♀: VIETNAM: Lam Dong Prov., Fyan ( BPBM) . Other material. VIETNAM: Lam Dong Prov., Fyan , 900–1000 m, 11.VII–9.VIII-1961, N.R. Spencer leg., 1♀ ( ELKU) .
