Dryinus punctulatus Xu, Olmi & He 2008: 10 ; Xu et al. 2011 g (Suppl.): 15.
Description of Female. Fully winged; length 5.1–7.5 mm. Colour of holotype: head black, except mandible, gena and anterior margin of face ferruginous; clypeus ferruginous, except central darkened area; face black, except ferruginous stripe along orbits; antenna brown, except segments 7–10, distal half of segment 6 and ventral surface of segment 1 testaceous; prothorax brown; rest of mesosoma black, except posterior half of metanotum and mesopleuron ferruginous; posterior apex of propodeum ferruginous; metapleuron black, except two small ferruginous spots in proximal third; metasoma brown, except distal apex testaceous; legs brown-ferruginous, except articulations testaceous. Colour of specimen from China, Hainan, Mt. Jianfengling: head ferruginous, except vertex and most part of face brown; antenna brown, except segments 6–10 testaceous and segment 1 ferruginous; mesosoma ferruginous, except some darkened areas on mesopleuron, metapleuron, dorsal region of propodeum, median region of scutum and sides of pronotum; metasoma and legs ferruginous. In specimen from China, Wuyanling Provincial Nature Reserve, occiput and mesosoma black, with some reddish-dark nuances; propodeal spiracles, anterior third of mesopleuron and posterior half of metapleuron reddish. In two specimens from China, Nanling National Nature Reserve, head black, ecept mandible testaceous and lateral regions of clypeus ferruginous; mesosoma black, except ferruginous nuances on pronotum, metanotum, mesopleuron and metapleuron. Antenna clavate, with rhinaria present on segments 5–10; antennal segments in following proportions: 13:8:54:35:24:18:15:13:11:14. Head dull, very slightly excavated, with dorsal surface sculptured by many parallel and longitudinal keels; occiput and ventral surface of head smooth and unsculptured; frontal line complete; occipital carina complete, laterally not reaching eyes; POL = 3; OL = 2; OOL = 11; OPL = 1.5; TL = 2.5; greatest breadth of posterior ocelli longer than OPL (4:1.5). Pronotum shiny, smooth, unsculptured, with many longitudinal striae on sides of disc and on posterior transverse furrow; pronotum with disc humped and posterior collar long; pronotal tubercle not reaching tegula. Scutum with median region smooth, shiny, finely punctate, unsculptured among punctures; lateral regions and posterior fourth strongly sculptured by many parallel and longitudinal keels. Notauli almost complete, posteriorly separated. Scutellum and metanotum smooth, shiny, finely punctate, unsculptured among punctures. Mesopleuron shiny, partly punctate and unsculptured among punctures and partly rugose. Metapleuron dull, strongly transversely striate. Propodeum dull, completely reticulate rugose, without longitudinal keels, with dorsal surface less than twice as long as posterior surface (16:11 (in the holotype); 13:10). Fore wing with two large dark transverse bands; distal part of stigmal vein more than twice as long as proximal part (30:13). Protarsal segments in following proportions: 30:5:10:31:48. Enlarged claw not spatulate ( Plate 82C View PLATE 82 ) with one strong subdistal tooth and one row of 12–16 lamellae. Segment 5 of protarsus ( Plate 82C View PLATE 82 ) with two rows of about 34–38 lamellae; distal apex with about 21–40 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.
