Female (Plates 59A, B, 62A): macropterous (Plates 59A, B, 62A), or rarely brachypterous (only in the Palaearctic); palpal formula 6/3; occipital carina complete; antenna without rhinaria; pronotum with distinct anterior collar and posterior disc; propodeum usually without transverse keel between dorsal and posterior surface (Plate 59A); in macropterous females fore wing with distal part of stigmal vein as long as, or longer than proximal part (Plates 59A, B, 62A); rarely distal part of stigmal vein slightly shorter than proximal part; enlarged claw with inner proximal prominence bearing one long bristle (Plates 58A, 60B, 62B); tibial spurs 1/1/2. Male (Plates 60A, 61A): always macropterous (even if female brachypterous) (Plates 60A, 61A); palpal formula 6/3; occipital carina complete; propodeum usually without a transverse keel between dorsal and posterior surface (Plate 60A); fore wing with distal part of stigmal vein as long as, or longer than proximal part (Plates 60A, 61A); rarely distal part of stigmal vein slightly shorter than proximal part; fore wing with pterostigma less than four times as long as broad (Plates 60A, 61A); paramere without dorsal process, usually without inner branch wrapping penis (Plate 63A); tibial spurs 1/1/2.
