Diagnosis.

Small Hypogastruridae with a fusiform habitus. White species, without eyes, post-antennal organ, retinaculum and furca. Tibiotarsi with 16–20 setae, including 1 or 2 knobbed or pointed tenent hairs. Claws with or without teeth. Setal pattern of type I, with mesosetae more or less serrated and sensory setae sometimes longer and smooth ( Thibaud et al. 2004).
