Type species. Scapsipedus micado Saussure, 1877 View in CoL

Diagnosis. Medium-sized body for Gryllinae . Head relatively rounded, often with several brown stripes on the occiput. The posterior femora strong and longer dorsal spurs of posterior tibiae with a wide distribution range.
