(designated here). BHUPM 540128-6 “Trockenpräparate CXXVIII 6". (The valve representing the lectotype is reproduced here as Fig. 1A ).

Comments.

The combination in Ehrenberg (1843) has been accepted by Kützing (1844: 61). The specimen of the lectotype was misprinted as “547806-3” in Cocquyt and Jahn (2007b) ( McNeill et al. 2012, Art. 7.10). Iconella bifrons was introduced in Ruck et al. (2016a) and validated in Ruck et al. (2016b).
