Type Locality: Burma, Tenasserim, Victoria Province, Maliwun.

Vernacular Names: Burmese Pipistrelle.

Distribution: Peninsular Burma.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Data Deficient as Pipistrellus lophurus .

Discussion: May be conspecific with kitcheneri ; see Francis and Hill (1986). Corbet and Hill (1992) argued that lophurus would be considered the older name.
