Geographic distribution: Mauritania, Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Nigeria and Chad.
Distribution in Guinea –Bissau: 11B, 19, 23, 28, 36.
Specimens sampled: Coli (Quebo), 10.VII.2006, 1 Ψ, “DO”, 15.VII.2006, 1 ɗ, “BL”, ( AS).
Remarks: A Sahelian-Sudan western species, more xerophile than the other African forms of this genus ( Basilewsky 1966). The adults have nocturnal activity and can be captured by or near light traps, normally during or just after rain fall. This species was recorded for the first time to Guinea-Bissau by Mandl (1956).
