Chrysis grohmanni var. bolivari Mercet, 1902: 222 . Holotype ♂; Turkey: Kahramanmaraş [= Syria: Marache ] (MCNM) ( succincta group).

Chrysis grohmanni var. bolivieri: Linsenmaier 1959: 109 . Incorrect subsequent spelling.

Material examined. N. Lebanon: Kadisha River , 1760 m, 25.vi.1960, 1♀, leg. G.A. Mavromoustakis, coll. Linsenmaier ( NMLU) ; Kadisha River , 1700 m, 26.vi.1960, 1♀, leg. G.A. Mavromoustakis, coll. Linsenmaier ( NMLU) ; Arz Tannourine , Trail 4, 1762 m, 10.vii.2018, 1♀, leg. X. Van achter, det. P. Rosa ( XVA) , on Apiaceae .

Distribution. * Lebanon. Turkey, Greece (Rhodes), Syria, Palestine ( Linsenmaier 1959, 1968).

Remarks. Chrysis grohmanni bolivari was synonymised by Rosa et al. (2013) with Chrysis singula Radoszkowski, 1891 without type examination and based on material considered reliably identified. The examination of Radoszkowski’s types (Rosa et al. 2015) excluded this synonymy and here we follow Linsenmaier’s (1959) interpretation of the species until Mercet’s type can be examined.
