Indodynerus Gusenleitner 2008: 1495, 1500 View in CoL View Cited Treatment , genus. Type species: Indodynerus capitatus Gusenleitner, 2008 View in CoL , by monotypy and original designation.

Diagnosis. Similar to Anterhynchium , distinguished by shape of clypeus. Clypeus as wide as long, usually broadly emarginate apically (weakly emarginate in Anterhynchium ). Mesepisternum without epicnemial carina (epicnemial carina prominent in Anterhynchium ). Body length usually 18–20 mm.
Distribution. Oriental region. This genus is endemic to the Indian subcontinent with only one species recorded namely Indodynerus capitatus Gusenleitner, 2008 .
Remarks. No specimens from south India examined, but its diagnosis is based on its inclusion in an unpublished key by one author (Carpenter, J.M.).
