Measurements. ɗ: body length: 5.5 mm; head width (incl. eyes): 1.1 mm; head length: 0.6 mm. Ψ: body length: 6.0– 6.1 mm; head width (incl. eyes): 1.1–1.2 mm; head length: 0.6–0.7 mm.

Head, pronotum and scutellum ( Figs 4, 19 View FIGURES 1 – 20 ) light brown, with obvious oyster white longitudinal streak on vertex medially; forewing ( Fig. 53 View FIGURES 46 – 54 ) with pale yellow plaque only in the costal area.

Male pygofer ( Fig. 36 View FIGURES 21 – 45 ) nearly quadrangular in lateral view, densely with row of microsetae on apex. Apex of footlike apical process of style short and robust, about one sixth length of style ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 21 – 45 ). Aedeagal shaft in situ ( Figs 37–38 View FIGURES 21 – 45 ) with posterior margin not concave in lateral view.

Etymology. The name of this species refers to the shape of the male pygofer.

Material examined. Holotype: ɗ ( NWAFU), China: Hunan Prov.: Sangzhi County, 22-August-1981, coll. Tong Xinwang; Guizhou Prov.: 2ΨΨ ( NWAFU), Leishan County, Leigongshan, 30-July-1997, coll. Zhang Yazhou.

Distribution. China (Hunan, Guizhou).

Remarks. This species can be easily distinguished from other species of the genus by the nearly quadrangular male pygofer.
