Specimens examined. JAPAN. 1♂, Aichi Pref., Iwaya, Minamichita-cho , 19–IV–1987, leg. T. Mano (CHK) ; 1♀, Shizuoka Pref., Kosai City, Shirasuka , 29–VII–1995, leg. S. Iwasaki (CHK).

Diagnosis. This species is very similar to the allopatric L. dactylotypa Prout, 1940 stat. nov. ( Figs 11, 12 View FIGURES 1–15 , 21 View FIGURES 16–23 , 29 View FIGURES 24–31 , 36 View FIGURES 32–37 , 43 View FIGURES 38–43 ) but can be distinguished by the more rufous coloration rather than dark brown; the longer saccus; and the wider plate-like signum.

Distribution and bionomics. Distributed in Japan and Korea ( Choi 2012). The records of host plants are Parthenocissus (Vitaceae) ( Sato & Nakajima 1987) including P. tricuspidata ( Nakajima & Yazaki 2011) .

Notes. One syntype is illustrated in Wang (1997, annotated as a holotype in the legend).
