Description:—Leaves covered with contiguous, prominent, hyaline lenticular or mamilliform projections, one over each cell; leafy shoots running out into long, rhizoidous microphyllous axes and bearing similar, lateralintercalary, whiplike branches. Leaves imbricate, small and scale like. Gynoecia apical, abruptly capitate.
