Sinophorus Förster, 1869 View in CoL . Verhandlungen des Naturhistorischen Vereins der Preussischen Rheinlande und Westfalens, 25(1868): 153. Type-species: ( Limneria canarsiae Ashmead,1898 = validus Cresson, 1864.

Diagnosis. Propodeum with area superomedia completely combined with area petiolaris and forming a broad median longitudinal trough. Apex of propodeum not reaching middle of hind coxa. Areolet present. Basal half of first segment of metasoma more or less prismatic shaped, the suture separating tergite from sternite a little below the mid-height. Ovipositor sheath 1.4 to 3 x as long as apical depth of metasoma.

Based on Sanborne’s revision (1984), the key to the known Chinese species of Sinophorus (based on females) is as follows.

1. Malar space as long as basal width of mandible. Fore wing vein 2m-cu straight. Second tergite strongly compressed.............................................................................................. S. psycheae Sonan View in CoL

- Malar space distinctly shorter than basal width of mandible. Fore wing vein 2m-cu curved. Second tergite depressed....... 2

2. First tergite with an indistinct or without a impressed, lateral, longitudinal groove................................... 3

- First tergite with a distinct moderately to deeply impressed, lateral, longitudinal groove.............................. 5

3. Ovipositor 1.4–1.5x as long as hind femur. Hind femur entirely black; hind tibia entirely black or partly, slightly brownish. Stigma black....................................................................... S. nigrus Sheng , sp. n.

- Ovipositor 1.9–2.3x as long as hind femur. Hind femur ferruginous; hind tibia at least externo-median surface white. Stigma white.............................................................................................. 4

4. Ovipositor 2.1–2.3x as long as hind femur, with depth less than width of hind basitarsus. Hind tibia with interno-median sur- face ferruginous, externo-median surface white............................................ S. pleuralis (Thomson) View in CoL

- Ovipositor 1.9–2.0x as long as hind femur, with depth greater than width of hind basitarsus. Hind tibia with base and median portion white..................................................................... S. fuscicarpus (Thomson) View in CoL

5. Hind tibia or at least its median portion distinctly ferruginous.................................................. 6

- Hind tibia with median portion white to yellow externally..................................................... 8

6. Hind wing vein cu-a absent. Hind femur 4.3–4.8x as long as its widest width. Base of hind tibia yellowish white. Hind basitar- somere white. Tegula fulvous or brown.................................................. S. turionus (Ratzeburg)

- Hind wing vein cu-a present. Hind femur at most 4.1x or at least 5.0x as long as its widest width. Base of hind tibia black or brownish black. Hind basitarsomere almost entirely brown or blackish brown. Tegula brownish black or yellowish white... 7

7. Hind femur 3.9–4.0x as long as its widest width. Second tergite approximately 0.9x as long as apical width. Tegula brownish black......................................................................... S. zeirapherae Sheng , sp. n.

- Hind femur 5.1–5.3x as long as its widest width. Second tergite approximately 1.5x as long as apical width. Tegula yellowish white......................................................................... S. impunctatus Sheng & Sun

- Gena, in dorsal view, strongly sloping inwardly. Propodeal trough strongly shagreened, matte. Hind femur more than 4.4x as

long as its widest width, if 4.2x as long as its widest width, then tergites 2 and 3 rufous.............................. 10 10. Ovipositor strongly upcurving, with depth at midlength less than width of hind basitarsomere. Hind femur 4.4–4.6 x as long as deep............................................................................... S. exartemae (Uchida) View in CoL - Ovipositor moderately upcurving, with depth at mid-length equal to width of hind basitarsomere...................... 11
