urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act:67AFA315-9BD5-4379-83C9-B374D3A150C4 ( Figs 115–122 View FIGURES 115–120 View FIGURES 121–122 )
Diagnosis. Pedicel and flagellum dark brown. Mesoscutal midlobe finely areolate-reticulate, without red area. Mesoscutellar disc areolate, not more than 1.1× as long as broad. Axillula areolate.
Orasema llanthu is a generalized species, differing from other areolate species in that it lacks a reddish area on the mesoscutal midlobe ( Fig. 118 View FIGURES 115–120 ), together with having a dark brown antennal pedicel and flagellum ( Fig. 117 View FIGURES 115–120 ). Orasema arimbome and O. rikra also have a dark brown flagellum, but O. rikra differs in having a shorter F2 ( Fig. 201 View FIGURES 199–204 ). Orasema arimbome differs in that longitudinal carinae occur together with the areolate sculpture on its axillula ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 11–16 ).
Description. Female. Length 3.6–4.1 mm.
Color: Head and mesosoma blue green dorsally with yellowish luster, becoming purple laterally. Pedicel yellow to brown; anellus yellow to brown; flagellum brown. Coxae purple, becoming yellow apically; fore femur brownish, tips pale; mid femur mostly yellow, with pale brown area near midlength; hind femur yellow. Fore wing hyaline; venation pale brown. Petiole blue-green to purple; gaster brown with blue-green to purple.
Head: Head width:head height 1.1; face reticulate; longitudinal groove between eye and torulus absent; eyes bare, inter-ocular distance:eye height 1.4–1.5; malar space:eye height 0.7; supraclypeal area longer than broad, smooth ventromedially, but weakly sculptured dorsally and laterally; clypeus weakly sculptured. Flagellum length:head height 1.4–1.5; F2 2.5–3.2× as long as broad, 1.2–1.3× as long as F3; following funiculars subequal in width, progressively shorter.
Mesosoma: Mesosoma length:height 1.4–1.5. Mesoscutal midlobe areolate-reticulate anteriorly, becoming areolate posteriorly, with minute setae; lateral lobe areolate. Axilla areolate; mesoscutellar disc areolate, about as long as broad; frenal line regularly foveate; frenum areolate; axillular groove anteriorly narrow, broad and foveate posteriorly; axillula areolate with longitudinal carinae. Propodeum with irregular median carina; propodeal disc areolate to areolate-reticulate; callus areolate-reticulate, with a few small setae. Mesepisternum reticulate to areolate-reticulate laterally, smooth ventrally, broadly rounded anterior to mid coxa. Upper mesepimeron reticulate dorsally, smooth ventrally; lower mesepimeron areolate-reticulate; transepimeral sulcus distinct. Metepisternum laterally weakly reticulate. Hind coxa 1.9–2.1× as long as broad; hind femur 5.7–5.9× as long as broad. Fore wing 2.3–2.4× as long as broad, 2.3–2.5× as long as mesothorax; stigma with 4 sensilla separated into pairs. Hind wing costal cell with a broad bare area.
Metasoma: Petiole 2.3–2.9× as long as broad, 0.9–1.2× as long as hind coxa, areolate, anterior carina weak. Antecostal sulcus crossed by carinae; acrosternite posteriorly angulate.
Male. Unknown.
Distribution. Bolivia.
