urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act:23165EF2-52BC-4DDD-8772-B70FDB32CD27 ( Figs 225–234 View FIGURES 225–230 View FIGURES 231–234 )
Diagnosis. F2 longer than F3. Pedicel and flagellum yellowish-brown. Mesoscutal midlobe and mesoscutellum, including axillula, areolate to areolate-reticulate. Mesoscutal midlobe without reddish or yellowish area. Mesoscutellar disc areolate-reticulate, not more than 1.1× as long as broad.
This species differs from others having an areolate-reticulate axillula in that the antennal flagellum is pale ( Fig. 227 View FIGURES 225–230 ) and the mesoscutal midlobe lacks a reddish or yellowish area ( Fig. 228 View FIGURES 225–230 ).
Description. Female. Length 2.2–3.0 mm.
Color: Head and mesosoma blue to green with purple area posterolaterally. Pedicel pale brown; anellus pale brown; flagellum brown. Coxae blue green to purple basally, yellow apically; fore femur brownish or yellow, legs beyond coxae otherwise yellow. Fore wing hyaline; venation pale brown. Petiole blue to green; gaster brown with blue to purple luster.
Head: Head width:head height 1.2; face reticulate; longitudinal groove between eye and torulus present as a vague reticulate depression; eyes bare, inter-ocular distance:eye height 1.4; malar space:eye height 0.6–0.7; supraclypeal area longer than broad, smooth medially and ventrally, weakly sculptured dorsally and laterally; clypeus smooth. Flagellum length:head height 1.5–1.6; F2 2.8–3.5× as long as broad, 1.2–1.3× as long as F3; following funiculars progressively shorter and broader.
Mesosoma: Mesosoma length:height 1.3. Mesoscutal midlobe mostly areolate-reticulate anteriorly to areolate posteromedially, with minute setae; lateral lobe areolate-reticulate. Axilla areolate-reticulate; mesoscutellar disc areolate-reticulate, with coarser area posteromedially, about as long as broad; frenal line irregularly foveate; frenum areolate; axillular groove weak and foveate; axillula areolate-reticulate with longitudinal carinae. Propodeum with irregular, posteriorly incomplete median carina; propodeal disc areolate medially to areolatereticulate laterally; callus areolate-reticulate, with 3–5 setae. Mesepisternum areolate-reticulate laterally, smooth ventrally, broadly rounded anterior to mid coxa. Upper mesepimeron smooth; lower mesepimeron areolatereticulate; transepimeral sulcus distinct. Metepisternum laterally reticulate to areolate-reticulate. Hind coxa 2.1– 2.2× as long as broad; hind femur 6.7–6.9× as long as broad. Fore wing 2.6–2.7× as long as broad, 3.1–3.4× as long as mesothorax; stigma with 4 sensilla separated into pairs. Hind wing costal cell with a broad bare area.
Metasoma: Petiole 2.5–3.1× as long as broad, 1.0–1.2× as long as hind coxa, areolate to areolate-reticulate, anterior carina moderate. Antecostal sulcus irregularly sculptured; acrosternite posteriorly angulate.
Male. Length 2.4 mm. Head width:head height 1.2; scape yellow; flagellum length:head height 1.8, F2 3.0× as long as broad. Fore femur yellow; fore tibia yellow; mid femur yellow; mid tibia yellow; hind femur yellow. Hind tibia yellow. Petiole 7.8× as long as broad, petiole length:hind coxa length 2.1.
