urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act:70D2DFD7-32ED-4A99-B123-C3C69476C60C ( Figs 171–178 View FIGURES 171–176 View FIGURES 177–178 )
Diagnosis. Clypeus smooth. Mesoscutal midlobe areolate-reticulate. Mesoscutellar disc areolate to areolatereticulate. Axillula areolate-reticulate. Fore femur yellow.
Orasema qillu strongly resembles O. rapo in coloration, but differs in having an areolate-reticulate axillula that lacks longitudinal carinae ( Fig. 175 View FIGURES 171–176 ). It differs from other species with such an axillula in having different coloration and completely areolate-reticulate mesoscutal midlobe sculpture ( Fig. 174 View FIGURES 171–176 ).
Description. Female. Length 3.4–3.5 mm.
Color: Head and mesosoma green dorsally with yellowish to reddish luster, blue-green laterally. Pedicel yellowish brown; anellus yellowish brown; flagellum brown. Coxae blue green to black dorsally, becoming yellow apically; legs beyond coxae yellow. Fore wing hyaline; venation pale brown. Petiole dark blue to black; gaster brown with blue-green to purple luster.
Head: Head width:head height 1.1; face reticulate; longitudinal groove between eye and torulus absent; eyes bare, inter-ocular distance:eye height 1.5–1.6; malar space:eye height 0.7–0.8; supraclypeal area slightly broader than long, narrowed ventrally, mostly smooth but with some weak sculpture laterally; clypeus smooth to weakly sculptured. Flagellum length:head height 1.5; F2 2.4–3.0× as long as broad, 1.2× as long as F3; following funiculars subequal in width, progressively shorter.
Mesosoma: Mesosoma length:height 1.3–1.4. Mesoscutal midlobe areolate-reticulate, with minute setae; lateral lobe areolate-reticulate. Axilla areolate-reticulate; mesoscutellar disc areolate to areolate-reticulate; frenal line irregularly foveate; frenum areolate-reticulate; axillular groove anteriorly narrow, broad and foveate posteriorly; axillula areolate-reticulate. Propodeum with irregular median carina; propodeal disc areolatereticulate; callus areolate-reticulate, with a few small setae. Mesepisternum reticulate to areolate-reticulate dorsally, ventrally mostly smooth but areolate posteriorly, broadly rounded anterior to mid coxa. Upper mesepimeron smooth; lower mesepimeron reticulate; transepimeral sulcus distinct. Metepisternum dorsally smooth, foveate peripherally. Hind coxa 1.9–2.0× as long as broad; hind femur 5.4–5.8× as long as broad. Fore wing 2.5× as long as broad, 2.7× as long as mesothorax; stigma with 4 sensilla separated into pairs. Hind wing costal cell with a broad bare area.
Metasoma: Petiole 1.7–1.8× as long as broad, 0.8× as long as hind coxa, areolate, anterior carina weak. Antecostal sulcus crossed by carinae; acrosternite posteriorly angulate.
Male. Unknown.
Distribution. Argentina (Tucuman).
