Lectotype (Taylor in J. Bot. 76: 279. 1938): Herb. Burser XX: 38 ( UPS) .

Current name: Asplenium fontanum (L.) Bernh. View in CoL ( Aspleniaceae ).

Note: Although Taylor’s type choice has priority, some authors have treated 1251.27 (LINN) as the type, taking up Woodsia fontana (L.) Fuchs for the species more generally known as W. glabella R. Br. as a consequence. See review by Pichi Sermolli (in Webbia 40: 93-94. 1986).
