Subtribe Taphurina Distant, 1905a
Remarks. The Taphurina was erected along with the Tryellina Moulds, 2005 . Moulds (2005) placed the New World genera Dorachosa Distant, 1892 , Dulderana Distant, 1905b , Elachysoma Torres, 1964 , Imbabura Distant, 1911 , Nosola Stål, 1866 , Prosotettix Jacobi, 1907 , Psallodia Uhler, 1903 , Selymbria Stål, 1861 , Taphura Stål, 1862a and the Asian genus Hea Distant, 1906b in the Taphurini . Since that time, Chalumalna Boulard, 1998 , Chrysolasia Moulds, 2003 , and Malloryalna Sanborn, 2016b have been added to the subtribe and the genus Hea has been assigned to the Cryptotympanini Handlirsch, 1925 ( Sanborn 2013; 2016b) leaving 12 genera in the subtribe. Ten of the genera are monospecific with only Selymbria and Taphura containing multiple species. Taphura exhibits the greatest species diversity within the subtribe.
