Diagnosis. Small to medium-size Coronatella , maximum length of adult female from 0.25 to 0.6 mm. Sculpture of valves as sparsely spaced lines or tubercles. Posteroventral angle of valves with uniform setulae, or with groups of differentiated setulae, or with 1-4 denticles. Seta arising from basal segment of antennal endopodite thin, shorter than endopodite itself, or absent. Accessory seta of limb I very short, about 1/3 length of ODL seta. Setae 2-3 of IDL armed with thick spinules; distal spinules frequently transformed into spines thicker than other elements. Exopodite of limb II with well-developed seta, except in C. (C.) undata .
