Types. Holotype: ♂, Tsak Yue Wu , Sai Kung West Country Park , Hong Kong, 25.VII.1996, Chan Ping-Wing (SEM) ; Allotype: 1♀, Tsak Yue Wu , Sai Kung West Country Park , Hong Kong, 27.VII.1996, Chan Ping Wing (SEM).

= Necroscia ovata Chen & He, 2008: 113 , fig. 78 [Synonymised by Ho, 2010: 1]

Distribution. Hainan (Shangxi and Wuzhishan), Guangdong, Guangxi and Hong Kong ( Type locality), China. Also Vietnam.

Notes. This is a new record for the species in Hainan.
